Education

45 minutes of every session is spent taking part in a mandatory workshop where young people learn about a range of topics including Health and Nutrition, the effects of drug and alcohol use, sexual health and relationships, career advice, cultural identity, train line safely and learning about protective behaviours.  Content is chosen for its relevance to the young people, to expand horizons and encourage positive behaviours.

While keeping Hope Community Services (formerly Drug ARM) as a cornerstone of drug and alcohol education, we have branched out to include Rail Safety, Career Building, Anti-Bullying, Science and Robotics, Sex Education, Nutrition and Healthy Eating, Combating Depression, Insects and Reptiles and of course, a host of topics centric around Aboriginal Culture through local organisation Yelakitj Moort.
